Check here often for opportunities to volunteer at Rilke Schule. Part of every families commitment to Rilke Schule is providing 4 hours of volunteer time to the school every month. There are many ways to fill this need. We realize how busy families are and truly appreciate your contributions to our school. If you would rather make an in-kind contribution in lieu of time, please see the items listed on our Wish List page.

How to log your volunteer hours - The school will track your volunteer hours quarterly and let you know if you have met your commitment. Please fill out an index card by the sign-in log near the front desk. File the card by your youngest child's last name. You may use the same card for siblings with different last names, but please note the other childrens' names on the card. Keep it simple. Enter the amount of time you have spent in 15 minute increments, and a very brief description of what you did. See Terri Wood at the front desk, or email her at Wood_terri@asdk12.org if you have any questions.

CONTRIBUTIONS IN LIEU OF VOLUNTEER TIME
If you are too busy to volunteer your time for the school, you can make a contribution to the school. One of our regular expenses is the school website. If you would like to support the school by paying $16 monthly for the school website, please contact Principal Wrabetz or Julie at the front desk. Thanks very much! We are also looking for contributions to help support our intern program.

PICK UP DROP OFF DUTY
The APC has approved DOUBLE TIME for pick up or drop off duty.  If you work either of these essential jobs your volunteer time counts for DOUBLE the minutes actually worked!  Please note on your family volunteer cards when you log your time, that you were doing traffic duty.  Rather than allowing all of our frustrations get the better of us, we can be a part of the solution (and earn double time doing it)!  Please contact Traffic Guild Coordinator  Linne' Weinberger at joelinne@msn.com with questions

PRESCHOOL FLYERS TO DELIVER
We are in need of parents willing to deliver flyers to preschools.  The flyers are printed and ready to go.  If your child attends preschool, you live near a preschool, or you drive by a preschool on a regular basis and you are willing to deliver flyers please pick some up from the Rilke Schule front office.  Terri Wood will have a master list of preschools that we will work from, this will ensure that only one person is delivering flyers to each location.  The first Kinderfest will be on December 5 so we are hoping to get the information out to families soon.  Thank you for your time.  Don't forget these deliveries count as volunteer hours!!  Please email questions to Wood_Terri@asdk12.org.

SPRING AUCTION DONATIONS AND TALENTS NEEDED
Do you have a hidden talent or ability that someone else may benefit from?  It could be anything from painting a picture to a house, or oil changes, accounting, cooking...the possibilities are endless.  What we need are your gifts to help raise funds at our Spring Auction on March 27.  Donations are tax deductible, and you could get some free publicity for you talents or business!  Do you love to bake, create a Cake of the month club to be bid on.  Are you handy with a hammer, set a up a handyman consult.  Does your hobby include building furniture, and your shop is over flowing?  No donation is too small and all gifts are appreciated. Please contact us at  RSVEarlySpring@hotmail.com or respond to this email. We thank you in advance for any and all your help in making this a successful annual event for Rilke and the RSV!
