up to 25 for grades 2 through 8. This will not be a strict rule;
exceptions may be made to accommodate siblings.
Nutrition Policy Students bring their own lunches and eat either in their classrooms or the multi-purpose room at the charter school. Rilke Schule has a healthy food policy (no candy, cookies, cake, puddings or other sugary food allowed in lunches or snacks; no soda or other drinks other than water, milk or 100% fruit juices allowed). The reasons for healthy lunches will be made clear to the students in their nutrition curriculum. Please see more detailed information and ideas on our Nutrition Page.
program. After school, students must be picked up by 3pm Monday through Thursday, and by 1:30 PM on Fridays unless the child participates in an after-school activity, or an Optional Intensive on Friday
See the map posted at school for more information about Carpooling with other Rilke Schule parents.
Dress Code Policy The school dress code is intended to instill a sense of belonging and pride in the school and to eliminate any idea of competition in the matter of personal dress. We believe that dressing according to the code shows respect for the school community, fosters a sense of teamwork, and mitigates the influence of materialism in our school. It is urged that students, faculty and staff be neat and clean. Faculty and staff need not abide by this dress code, but are expected to dress in a business professional manner (i.e., no short skirts, blue jeans, denim shirts). Please see the details on our Dress Code page.
Volunteer Requirements Part of every families commitment to Rilke Schule is
providing 4 hours of volunteer time to the school every month. There
are many ways to fill this need. Please see our Volunteer Needs page for some ideas, and stay tuned to the weekly email newsletter. We realize how busy families are and
truly appreciate your contributions to our school. If you would rather
make an in-kind contribution in lieu of time, please see the items
listed on our Wish List page.
