Rilke Schule German School of Arts and Sciences uses the same calendar of registration that all ASD alternative programs use. Admission is by lottery only. Siblings of attending students are given preference in the lottery drawing. The first lottery drawing is always held mid-March and the last drawing before the start of the new school year is held at the beginning of August

Completed lottery forms must be received at 4pm one day prior to the lottery. They can be returned by e-mail attachment to info@rilkeschule.org, by fax to 1-907-742-7456 or mailed to the following address prior to the lottery dates:

Rilke Schule
650 W. International Airport Road
Anchorage, AK 99518

Rilke Schule is strictly a “school of choice” for ASD students, and each student must comply with the school rules and standards.

There are no application fees required to apply to Rilke Schule.  When you register your child, a Supplemental Resource and Activity fee of $100 ($90.00 for every additional child per family) will be levied.  This fee goes toward special school supplies, such as art and science supplies and specialized German materials, which differ from class to class.

The fee is used for items such as:

  • Schultüten for Kindergarteners
  • Federmappen for the second graders
  • Fountain pens and ink for the upper grades
  • Art supplies for the various projects throughout the year
  • Partial funding of the end-of-the-year field trips
